mozerman I woould do some track days. Its ALOT more fun than autocross. Its fun knowing that you can potentially wreck your car in a weird way.

xShiFTx Hmm seems I haven't been keeping up with this thread as well as I wanted to.

A little update- Last event of the SCCA season is this Saturday. A friend of mine offered to let me drive his fully STU prepped 04 STi, so I was excited. To make a long story short I found a car out of state that I am going to go pick up on Saturday (missing the autocross :().

The Focus is being retired back to daily driver duty and the Rx-7 I'm buying is going to be a full out autocross/track car.

Standings wise- The STi and I have been battling it out all year in novice, but he is going to take the win with overall points. 2nd place isn't half bad. Oddly enough I will have been autocrossing for a whole year come November :).

This is the Focus signing out!

xShiFTx You guys all have the right idea, looking back on how I was contemplating whether or not to go race I'm really glad I made the leap!

This weekend is looking kind of grim.. There are too many events in the area (they're afraid attendance is going to suffer from this) so they might have to cancel the one I wanted to attend :(

Blackhatch01 Just went to my second autocross every thius past sunday. It is more how your car handles and driver skill. I came in 12 out of 15 out of my heat and had alot of fun doing it. Just "remember sometimes driving slower is faster" (corners).

steve35svt ^^ Find an event and go, consider you first year learning, not winning and have FUN. It took one event back in 1984 and I'm hooked for life.

Good to hear you're enjoying it!

Yep, I'd get spanked by a RXS-s on r-comps if I raced g-stock.. There really are no quick cooper drivers that frequent the events out here. I get excited when I see a new one

I'm missing the next points event because I'm going to California for vacation, there is an event the week after I get back though!
