BigRed03 The Diablo plugs into the OBDII port and can unload and load tunes, check and clear codes, and when properly outfitted, datalog.

Did the guy you bought the car from say where he got the Diablo from (FocusSport, Tom, CFM, etc)? Ford is gonna RAPE you on what they charge for a new PCM.

Talk to Tom about the tuner. He may ask you to plug the Diablo into the port and see what it tells you. He might be able to send you tunes over the interweb to fix the issue in a tune.

but took like 30 min to change, just because it was my first time, slow and steady prevents breaking...., probably will be a 10 min job in the future.

and diablo chip? like off ebay chip? i heard that those are no good, and aren't great for your car, something like its just a big fuse that diverts signals.... or something
I just got the Diablo of the closet.
It is actually a DiabloSport Predator programmer. So I'm not sure ithere is actually an extrenal chip on the PCM or just a plug in for the programmer.
Got the diablo from the guy I bought the car from.

ALLANGT The chatter seems to have gone away after I got new tires on the car.

After three trips to the dealership Ford said the found the starting issue.

Needs a Crankshaft sensor and a new PCM.
Said the PCM needed to be replace due to a diablo chip.

Car did finally start with the key so at least I can get to work today.

Anyone think the Diablo will mess up the computer? Guy I bought the car from said he uninstalled it so it should be the stock tune.

ALLANGT Thanks for tips guys.
Car decided it didn't want to start anymore so the chatter went to the back burner.
Looks like the starting problem was a bad MSD coil.
Now back to finding the 6th gear chatter.
I will check that heat shield.
