Dampers are where the big kids spend the real money;)
Most of the Spec STS civic's have dampers on them that cost more than the '89 Si did new!

|thehubster||well i have pretty much spent money on everything else. i could get a new throttle body what would yall think of that in relation to autox. but brakes are like my next big thing to do and i am just trying to find good combos. thanks for all the input by the way.|

|Blackcatn2o||I would vote for the EBC red stuff or Hawk HP plus pads with the ebc slotted an dimpled rotors. my EBC rotors made a big difference over the stock rotors, im probley going to buy the Hawk hp plus or EBC red stuff pretty soon considering my stock pads are getting pretty dead.|

Another vote for Centric Rotors (blanks-not drilled or slotted) and HPS pads.
The SVTF brakes stock are better than some of the best cars out there.

Upgrading to a BBK should be towards the bottom of the upgrade list. The fastest drivers in my region don't run anything beyond the stock caliper/hub setup.
Just get some good pads/rotors, and you'll be fine. FWIW I run Hawk HP+ with centric rotors front, OEM level shoes in the rear. Plenty of stopping with a ton of dust and noise :D

|jamminsvt||I'm running EBC slotted/dimpled rotors and EBC greenstuff pads at all four corners w/braided stainless lines. Stopping power is awesome and the brake dust is light. The only nitpick I have is the zinc coating has rusted through in several spots and where I live road salt is not an issue.|

|thehubster||thanks man thats alot of good info. ya i have never raced but i am looking into. there is an event the middle of this month i might go to if my schedule allows. i am also looking for a good brake setup that will do well on a daily driver and perform well autoxing. any help is apreciated.|
