ZeppFreak Alright, so i decided to paint my scoop soon (gonna try it myself first), and am curious... would you guys think an inverted hood scoop would look good? my car is Silver frost with gloss black stripes, what if i did a gloss black hood scoop with silver frost stripes??? got the idea from the 130i tii video. he has white and black stripes with a black with white stripe hood.

let me know!

recent pic of my car:

Dan-O Search me too. I made my scoop functional as well. I cut the front piece clean off and then cut a hole in my hood.
You should feel the heat come out of the scoop.

xFordx I bought mine new from someone, it came unpainted, and it included the 3M tape, the screws, and the mounting hardware (the strips that help you align it in the center. You can either just tape it with 3M, or you can bolt it on, but either way I still recommend using the 3M tape so it doesnt rub against your paint, mine is bolted on and has 3M tape and no matter how hard you try you can't see the 3M tape, which was something I was concerned about at first. I have pictures of it before I installed it and after I installed it in my gallery.

TerryB I cut mine out, but left the side pieces for stability. Used some diamond mesh from Lowe's. There should be a little lip on the back side to bend the mesh into. Also used small nuts and bolts ( not shown, did them after on the flat pieces )
