nate4027 Bringing this thread back alive, does anyone have that 90 degree elbow or can someone post a pic of it so I know what I need to get? Thanks

whiteboyslo oh, i see what you're saying. is there some sort of nipple that it fits over? i'm not familiar with the exact setup of the AEM.

racerdan It's not the 3 inch hose between the TB and the intake tube...it's the crankcase breather tube that ties into the underside of the intake tube. The small 5/8 or so line.

whiteboyslo so, there's no hose clamp holding the tubing into the elbow? there should be. every other intake i've ever seen has one.

racerdan Only one bracket welded to the bottom of the intake tube..and it's tight.
I used some nylon ties to hold it in. I think it will be ok and it doesn't look too terribly bad.

whiteboyslo yeah. there should be a worm-drive clamp that hold the tube into the elbow.

Fabster82 did you tighten the brackets that came with the short ram. that may be your problem

90 degree elbow on AEM ram

I just installed an AEM short ram on my 04 SVT. Has anybody else had problems with the 90 elbow on the hose from the valve cover falling out of the intake tube? Mine won't stay in and I want to know if there is a simple fix...silicone or something (my last choice). My check engine light is on and I'm pretty sure thats what it is. As soon as I get the fitting to stay in I'll probably have to clear the light by disconnecting the battery.
