I did see about the blue wire but it was not clear where the wire was or how to find it. There also was no information about how to hook anything up. There was some talk about a diode being used but not enough info to piece everything together...

There are threads that discuss those questions -

Blackcat So I can get a momentary switch anywhere and do my own trunk button?

mholton63 Just left of the fuse panel. I believe its the only plug that has a release on it. If you supply 12 volts to the light blue wire it will release your trunk latch. I've not tested it to see if it will release while transmission is in drive.
