ZTWFan Does anybody know what size the bolts are for the rear, front lower control arm (dog bone ) on my wagon? I has to cut one bolthe off because it was seized to the bushing sleave. Ford doesn't carry them anymore.

finalfantasy Best guide on the net! Thank you!

Did you do final torques on the front lower control arm bolts before you attached the knuckle? While it was just floating?

I assume you mean the strut mount bolts, the only top mount with three.
According to the 08 shop manual, those three strut mount bolts are 26lb-ft or 35Nm

Edit - Miztaken I am, 8mm not 6mm so they're good snugged by hand.

FWD w/ your typical strut front suspension w/ a great engineered rear irs that works great & makes the handling great vs other vehicles. For how much to invest= What are you looking for? What I did is cfm tubular control arms, sportline system, eibach front bar, steeda rear bar, rear toe-links, 4-point front & rear lower stress braces. A torsen & a bbk will add more driving dynamics.

Silver04Focus What kind of issues were you having prior to changing all of that? I'm having a strange noise when i turn the wheels left or right both at speed and at stop. the sound is like a creaking/grating noise.
