Plastidip glossifier doesn't really get it to the point that you can call it black chrome. It's does add a good amount of gloss but is still inferior to a proper paint job with a gloss clear coat. It is good for quick, easy project and areas you may want to remove it off from later.
Rustoleum (and other brands) makes a Black Chrome overcoating spray that can be used right over top of the chrome on the grill. I've used it to pretty good success on other chrome areas with most my issues linked to user error. Most parts stores carry it and it my be worth checking out.

|mikhailyo||can we bring this thread back? I'm a new user on here, I have a '06 Ford Focus ZX3. I literally sat here and read through them all and would love to see this come back to life with more new ideas! I've recently been planning on plasti dipping my front grill and putting plasti dip glossifier on it! make it look black chrome! I'm excited lol|

Do you have to install a temp sensor on the car or is there already one on all first gen Foci?
