FreeFocus I don't know what your tint laws are is WI, but I would go darker than 40%. I live in Indiana and our law is 32%. Even then you cant really tell you have tint. I would go 20 or 30 in the front and 15 or 20 in the back, just so you would be able to see out your rearview mirror at night.
I have wanted to lower my car to. I think i will do it on the next one though. always good to know what you are getting yourself into.

if you need help ou may get a good response in the focus nation area, there are about 5 of us within 1 hour driving range of appleton, im there all summer another member lives there and 3 more are within driving range, we do installs and all that quite often, also i know a body shop that has painted my car MANY times, its not cheap but its quality.... post up in there or pm me for more details...

hybridtheory31 tint like 200. rims and tires depends on what kind u get. paint job. havent really looked much but ive heard its rather expensive. might find some projectors and tail lights for a little over 100 each. and the drop if u go with the one focus_SWT mentioned would obviously be 125. so ur looking at over 500 without the wheels and paint. the latter are probably going to be the most costly.

i meant no body kit.

my list of things to do to my zx3 are:
tint back windows 35%
tint front windows 40%
get some 18" rims on some 215/35 tires
get a full paint job (one color)
get some tail lights
get some headlights
lower it

anyone have an estimate on how much this would all cost?

im not gettin a body kit as of right now. but i would like to do all of these things in the future. i just am not sure if i want to get it lowered.. because that is going to be fairly expensive and it isnt really going to improve the look that much. i just want to know if u guys think it will be worth it to get it lowered about 1.5" because it will look sky high off the ground, or if u think that it will look okay if i keep it the way it is..?

thanks for everyones help so far..!

I would check places. One shop wanted 400 to paint my old rear spoiler on my sedan.

focus_SWT what part of WI. I am in Chippewa by Eau Claire. You can lower it yourself in the corse of a day. I did my wagon, it isnt that hard. A kit you can get from Steve, for 125.00.

Deaner yes my bumper is lower than usuall, its actually about 1.5 - 2 inches lower than stock bumper. getting 18s might lift the rid a bit, but im not too sure.

dampers = struts.

and what do you mean by "im not planning on gettin a kit. so hopefully it will still be low enough just stock."?
