Canadaloveshockey Ok I'm not a total newby anymore, I joined the group last fall. I've found it very interesting and informative, stuff discovered that I'd never have realized at all. Driving a 2013 Titanium and still enjoying it.

Welcome Dan! Is CT Conneticut? Trying to learn my US regions, they didn't teach us in school here in Alberta! I wasn't much a fan of Ford before I bought my Focus but after test driving it, I must say I too love driving it. My commute is 71km a day, majority highway and she does extremely well! I've had her since mid February and I've already put about 3000 kilometres on the odometer.

Have fun and enjoy the forum and especially your Focus!

dbentesr My name is Daniel and I just purchased a 2004 Focus LX to travel back and forth to work. I travel a lot and have found that these Forums are generally better than a Chiltons Manual for finding causes of issues and the little tricks to make life easier when dealing with vehicles. I have 3 Foxbody Mustangs and an Extra Cab F150 4WD currently. I want to do a few little upgrades to my Focus for better handing due to living in the Sierra Nevada Mountains and the twisting and turning roads up here.

new to the focus community

And ive already have a question for yall, not the biggest fan of fords. But under circumstance i ended buying a 2009 focus se seden ( 5 spd of course), and in all truth really enjoying driving it. Anyways ive been looking around, found fswerks and top speed and pleased to see that the focus is supported by many aftermarket parts. But from what ive seen no one runs any more than 250hp, with the turbo kits available i assume (with forged internals) you can make much more. But how much can tranmission handle? Can't find uprgraded transmission parts, is this why? Names Dan btw haha
