Roushturboedzx3 Hey trash all the egr stuff off the firewall and yes remove the vacuum line that went to egr shit and put it too your bov

brummy Ok, I thought I was done with this thread, but I got two more questions (I swear this is the last one, haha). The vacuum line in that pic above that is directly under the vacuum line coming off the EGR valve, the line goes to the intake manifold as far as I can tell. Is that line needed, or can I remove it and use the source on the IM there for my BOV?

This last one is just a clarification: I need to plug up the two ports right next to each other on the dpfe sensor where a couple lines from the EGR tube came from as well as the one port where the vaccum line from the EGR valve went to, correct?

brandnew161 without a tune the car will not run right. I wanted to do the same thing, get a step ahead and yahno do one thing at a time. So i removed the egr and made a block off plate. After that the car drove fine but idled poorly. I reset the ecu and no luck. Its best to leave it on until you are ready for a tune IMO

brummy Thanks for all the help so far, it's appreciated. I got one more though: if I decide to put my car back together and attempt to install this turbo shit later once I have everything figured out, can I leave the EGR off and be fine? I figure I'll get a CEL, but will it hurt anything?

brandnew161 yea take out the egr and pipe, make a blockoff plate, and plug the dpfe lines and the vacuum line coming from the solenoid which attached to the top of the egr valve below it.

Ok, is that all I need to do?
