CivicHatch+SVT-F ohhh ok. I havent been down there in a looooong time for the street races. I just remember we would gather our areas fastest cars and ride down to some guys performance shop, paid $10 to get in, and parked in his massive lot. I think the owner is a Jamaican dude and he usually has some badass cars up front (including 5 Vipers, 2 Evos, 1 200sx with a fully-built Skyling motor, etc). Along with big-ass speakers pumpin out some music. It was pretty sweet but I cant remember for the life of me where exactly it was.

CivicHatch+SVT-F where in miami dude? I used to go down there with some of our areas fastest cars to go to some races in miami.

latindude542002 It almost makes me want to boost my svt. lol. every car at the races in miami last night was boosted it was funny. everytime a car pulled up i would tell my friend listen i bet you its boosted. sure enough we heard that distinctive boost sound every 5 min. LOL. there was a freakin echo boosted for crying out loud!

latindude542002 Well about the whole zx5 svt wheight thing it makes such small defference that all it took for me to beat a stock zx3 svt was a steeda ram air intake. before the intake the zx3 svt would beat me by like not even a foot.( All testing thanx to my fathers zx3 svt lol) not to mention i weight 240 lbs. I put my dads zx3 svt next to my zx5 svt and they are almost exactly the same lenght. If you notice the front doors on a zx3 svt are alot longer then the zx5 svt doors so thats why the length and weight are almost the same. Now about the whole ricer thing, in my area here in miami every ricer has a turbo and hooked up. they are all the same. last night alone out of 31 hondas 28 had turbos.

Does the added weight of the four door SVT slow it down at all? It doesn't appear to when you look at the numbers but I would assume it would a little?

Thoughts?
I think its an extremely minimul difference. Nothing that wouldnt change it from a drivers race

CivicHatch+SVT-F hell, im not even impressed one bit with the new SI. Its pretty ugly stock, and its also pretty heavy. The weight that I was talking about was in regards to the earlier models (92-99 hatchbacks). Thats the reason I got the Civic hatch was because I have full intentions of doing a swap relatively soon, but Im happy with the decent power Im putting out now to last me until the end of this year.

I can see why ya got outta that car dudley but for me, my AC works great and I dont really care about the power windows, locks, etc. The power steering isnt a big deal seeing as how im just trying to turn the wheel to move 14" tires on a 2100lbs car.

Hell, Jessica and I love taking turns driving each others cars. She loves how it feels when she's behind the wheel in the bucket racing seats, with the short shifter, and being extremely close to the ground with really tight suspension. And I like taking hers out for the obvious increase in torque, the extremely smooth ride, and the good suspension it comes with stock.

I guess its just all a matter of location because where you see 1000 posers, I see around my area 15-20 H22 swapped Civic hatches, 7-8 (maybe more) boosted hatches, 3-4 boosted integras, 3-4 boosted new SI's, etc. Sure we obviously have our posers too, but not as bad as how many I hear everyone on here see in their area

dudley123 Well, I agrew with your assumption with 16 year olds with no money. However i had a good paying job and i had a 93 civic hatch with a GSR motor swap and Type R teggy suspension. I went psycho with JDM stuff. Well i thought to myself that i am paying for a car that has NO air conditioning, power steering, Power anything. And that sucked. All it was good for was speed and Autox. I am 16 and am 250 pound lineman for the football team. So there were reasons for me to get rid of it. I fell in love with the SVT the Ride, Power, and was a sweet ride. Anyways it is hard to tell when there are 30 civics in town but you have to remember there will always be a decently quick civic. All the posers had to copy off someone so why not copy the real thing. Anyways sorry for the long post but just sharing my opinion.
