The reason why he revving it out to 7000rpm and I'm pretty sure he does this like I do sometimes.
Has it in 1st gear and rev it out to 7000rpm when you shift into 2nd the rpm will drop around the 4 to 5 rpm mark, if you leave it in Drive or shift into 2nd and you go to 5000rpm then the rpm will drop down 3 to 4 rpm.
So that the next gear already has power.

It all comes down how they drive it on the dyno and what shootout mode they use and yes there is a difference.
When they put the car on the dyno do they start off slow or are they doing 30 mph????

My g/f Zetec ZX5 auto made 98Whp only with a Steeda air intake and it was doin 30mph on the dyno then took off.
You couldn't feel any power just with a air intake.
I got a full exhaust system and you could feel the pick up and the power and it didn't have a tune and it made 102.9WHp and the guy who was driving my g/f Focus had it in 2nd gear and was doin like 10mph then took off.
It should of piss it in doing 110whp with easy and I'm like some people out there that feel if I was driving I would of goten more hp.

My point is how good are these dyno read out and how our Cars are being used on the dyno.

sunyfoci im not certain but with the stock shift points it shifted at 6,500 and there would be some hesitation as soon as it got into the next gear, now it feels like manually shifting through first gear but you don't have to worry about the rev limiter because the tranny will use the same shift point every time

sunyfoci yea its definitely easier to get up to 90mph though before it was shifting and then the car would have to get back into the right rpm range before it would start pulling again now its always in the proper range so there never is a loss in power

Buickboy Says it shifts different, so he has an auto. A tune on an auto will do that, thats what hes feeling.

sct xcal 2 from focus sport = WOW

just got the 91 octane and firm shifts at wot tune and its excellent.
I never really knew how slow the car was before but now compared to before it is fast, shifts at 7k and there is a surge of power after every shift thank you focussport.
