craigk49 Look forward to discovering lots of new ideas. I was adopted by a 2010 Focus SE about 2 months ago. So, I'm probably going to need some of your wisdom. Hopefully, I will be able to find some of that wisdom stuff myself to share with you-all.

Thekansasphil 2016 SE Luxury HB- have awesome JL audio system ready to install, looking for new head unit + stereo w/ carplay. Suggestions on stereos? Pioneer 4100nex is an option from a third party (used no cords or harness) Really wanting to install ST spoiler. I have the dark gray color. Don't know where to look for one, or how much I should expect to spend.

Thoughts welcome!

Cheers,

sailor Aha - CURRENT ST not the '06-'07 version I thought of vs. the '05.

Now it adds up, I didn't catch that initially. Nice plan.

And yeah - once you're pulling the head it's a good excuse for upgrades desired.

Been doing some reading? A few choices are a bit odd.

'05 is good for knuckles for example, to keep the smaller struts that are easier to find without needing Massive's Omni kit.

There's a Group buy that's been waiting the last person or two to get Super Hubs made again, that's the trick to avoid broken ones on the track.

Welcome to the Gang!
Bent all 8 exhaust valves and you can also see very light "eyebrows" on the pistons from the intake valves. It was repairable, but I had an urge for more than the 148 WHP it was making. I bought the ST hubs and knuckles because of the larger bearing, and I was able to adapt 2013 axle shafts (for the MTX75 transmission). They were 1 inch longer, but I wanted to lengthen the control arms anyway. I needed new (ST) control arms to get the bigger ball joint stud. I am also moving the control arm inner pick-up points up to get the roll center back under control (above ground) after all of the lowering, and the ST's lower steering arm helps get the bump steer closer to where it needs to be after I change the control arm angle. Thanks for the welcome

Viper 00 New guy to the Forum in Phoenix. I've been tracking a 2000 NASA Spec Focus for the last year or so. Finally blew up the Zetec (kind-of, broke the timing idler pulley bolt at high RFM and kicked the belt), so the motor is at the machine shop for a high compression NA build and I will use a Massive Ultimate head. Having trouble finding rods - there doesn't seem to be a set of Eagle rods available anywhere and Crower is telling me 2 months. In the mean time, adding late model ST hubs/knuckles and struts, replacing the Torsen with a plate-style LSD, lengthening the control arms and moving the inner pick-up points to correct the roll center, fender flares, 18 inch wheels with Hoosier 245 R7s, and probably RS (or StopTech) brakes. That should keep me busy until the motor's bottom end gets built. Looking forward to being a member of the forum!

New from Central IL

Hey guys, I recently bought a beat up 2001 ZX3 because they're awesome and I wanted a project car to teach myself to work on cars.

You guys have already helped me with so many little things so I figured I would join the community, borrow your expertise and help other people with what I've managed to do.

It's a work in progress to say the least.
