Mine match perfectly whether in the sun or shade because theyre painted on. Notice I went down the side as well.
I have since stripped the paint off and redone them because the paint was starting to fade and look like shit. I just dont have any decent pics of the car now, because frankly, ive lost interest. Now Its only getting repairs when needed, washed when it rains until this summer when hopefully I can trade it in for something better.

|1stTimeFocus00||Ill be puttin them on my car on a sunny day. One thing i noticed is that in shade, they seem really off colored. But when i took a picture of them, they look to match exactly. How odd is that.|

|Buickboy||I have their side stripe kit and Im very happy with it, high quality and easy instructions. Have you tried contacting the company? Im sure theyd be willing to help you. Picking the right color was hard for me too, but trying to match colors online is a PITA id imagine..|

Exactly right. These were done using leftover 20% tinting film. Holding up well after 1 1/2 years, but I think I'll do a second layer to get a darker, less transparent effect. Note the lower eyelid also.
Two hints: make a template, and use an Exacto knife or similar for cutting the film.
duh, it occurs to me now that this doesn't apply so well if you don't have a dark blue or black Focus so...never mind.

this is exactly why i have always preached to make your own eyelids.
easy and cheap. sometimes free if you can get scraps.
also when you go to the vinyl guy, you have a better chance of matching his product with your car.
