whynotthinkwhynot Welcome to the Forum.

Personally, I think the 3.8 is a better choice for the Fiero, but rock on with the 4.9 monster

Air intakes helped my mileage, but I have a different motor. When I first joined this site, I read this thread about a cowl induction, ram air mod that is low budget, and works great Check it out HRW Mod

As far as the other stuff goes, just familiarize yourself with the specialized Forums and you'll find someone who knows exactly what you're looking for.

Introducing myself - Michael in Mississippi

Good morning folks,

Just wanted to introduce myself. Just baught a 2000 ZX3 auto with 65k. Wanted a reliable car with good gas milage that would be fun. It's our second Focus, loved the first one (four door) until that deer decided she wanted to check out the front end. Am in the process of building a Ferrari F40 replica with a cadi 4.9 engine, 5 speed, upgraded brakes supension etc. Would like to start upgrading the focus also. Any thoughts on improving fuel eco let me know. Looking at the K&N cold air intake first figure this will boost performance and fuel eco. Will be looking for meets coming up. I work as full time national guard in Clinton now. Was working oversees and actually enjoying the long commute each day. Anyway sorry to bore you. Hope to see you around.

michael
