MystikalSmoker Just switched to LED in the rear, started to get hyperflash. I was fine that, but when I switched the front to LED I got no flash. Looked my 07 ST up in the computer at work and found the flash is controlled by the ECU. I also learned we have flasher relays that are designed to work with LEDs in cars with a physical flasher relay like the first gen.

DaveCombs N/P. When you get them, they should have a couple of very long wire leads on the ends, and this is to give you more choices of where to mount them. You should try to mount them onto a metal surface, like by using self-tapping screws. Avoid plastic, or trying to mount them with two-sided tape or zip ties (unless you zip tie around the wires, and not the resistor body) because they can get HOT if the flashers are on for any long amount of time.

Here's a place to look:Universal-Products-Exterior-Lighting/c115_116/index.html?osCsid=42330d0e2f725eb7658a8b797f4ce2ab

And to revise/rescind my earlier post, apparently there ARE "LED-compatible" flasher relays. Who knew?

Djmike2485 That's what my thought was. I will probably order them at the same time I get the bulbs. Thanks.

DaveCombs I wasn't aware of flasher relays with different resistance.

Usually what you need to do is put a load resistor in line with the turn signal bulb wire. They can typically be found anywhere you would buy the LED lamps.

Turn Signal Flasher Led Mod

I am considering changing my rear turn and stop tail lights from bulbs to LEDs. I have found the bulbs and determined that to keep the turn signals from going to hyper mode, I will need to change the flasher out for a lower resistance flasher or wire in some resistors. What I need to know is where the flasher module is in the car. I have searched online forums, here, and through my owner's manual to no avail. I have heard that they operate through the hazard flasher but I cannot locate where that is either.
Any suggestions? Has anyone else done the same?
