AtodaZ Great write-up now my odometer only shows the bottom half of the mileage and random parts on the trip portion. Any way to remedy that?

starfuryt550 Ps, since you have an Svt all the cluster bulbs would be t10 bulbs.
02-14-2014 11:10 AM
starfuryt550 No, you won't be able to.
You will need 3x standard t10 bulb sockets from a normal focus cluster, as well as a brand new faceplate. You can disconnect the EL sheet from the main gauges and leave it. Plug in the bulbs and that will work, but you'll need the or speedhut faceplate. You can't use the SVT one at all. It has a non-remove able filter, unlike the standard focus non-EL faceplates.

The 2008-2011 focus uses plcc4 3528 leds.
So since I have an 04 SVT with out adding anything would i use the t10 or the SMD led. Would the 3528 led bulb work in the bulb socket that's done there?

GreySkorpion Pic with the red paper filtering the lcd, this is a more true to the eye pic:

GreySkorpion Actually, the soldered in LED's started in 04, ask me how I know. There is a quick fix, buy this:

After you get your black clip off, take as much of the material off the side that is closest to the mph needle housing and cover the old green led's with electrical tape, then hot glue the new panel in place over the old led's. I had to filter the brightness with 2 layers of red copy paper, it was hella bright. This is what it looked like before I filtered it, so yes, changing the color on 04 and up led's for the lcd/odometer display can be done! I wired them into the headlight switch wires to work exactly as it does stock.

You can make out the actual 6 led's on the panel though, light spread is not as even as the stock lighting, just a warning. I will get more detailed pics up of the current output up tomorrow night.
