I think the stat for the 2001 is only as low as it is because of the small sample size. We definitely need more owners involved for that year.

VAfromMN And then there is my '04 SVTF! As of today, 322,200 miles and it has been very reliable. I had to put in a used transmission at 290,xxx miles due to a bad input shaft bearing, but that has been the only major repair. Other than wear items, nothing! 120-130 compression across the board and literally no oil use between 5/6k changes.

mkaresh We've updated our reliability stats for the Focus to include owner experiences through June 30, 2014 (making them about 14 months ahead of some others).

Repair frequencies, in terms of repair trips per 100 cars per year:

2014 Focus: 31, moderate
2013 Focus: 20, low
2013 Focus ST: 47, moderate
2012 Focus: 37, moderate
2010 Focus: 29, low
2009 Focus: 62, moderate, small sample size
2008 Focus: 15, low
2007 Focus: 70, moderate
2006 Focus: 62, moderate, small sample size
2005 Focus: 78, moderate
2004 Focus: 81, moderate, very small sample size
2003 Focus: 97, moderate
2002 Focus: 92, moderate
2001 Focus: 68, low, small sample size

mkaresh No idea about this particular additive or additives in general, but if something does actually clean out a dirty fuel system it would improve performance and fuel economy.
