Unfortunately, I'm working every sunday this month (I rotate a Sunday-Thursday schedule every other month with another guy.) And I have a crack that's working its way across my windshield that I still have to get fixed...I'm pretty sure a cracked windshield is an automatic tech fail.

Just remember SLOW IS FAST, but not too slow. I've noticed alot of people out there push through turns because they were coming in too hot.
To quote Carrera26's sig
These couldnt be truer words spoken. Just go out and have a good time.
I run in SM in the two clubs I belong to, for obvious reasons though . Around these parts it seems like everybody and their mother is in street modified. That class is always growing, mostly because of the sport compact scene. It's cool though because more people are getting turned on to the sport, so that's always a plus. We usually have anywhere between 7-13 guys running in SM. It's a hoot.

|Egz||I'm in EP because of my gutted hatch. But in my region, that might be better than SM.|

Autocross is 90% DRIVER, 10% car... In one of my local AX's a STi got beat by a mid 90's automatic saturn sedan with japanese vinyl on it... all in the driver...

|SkaAddict||I run street mod due to a LSD, shorter final drive ratio and aftermarket brakes (BAT Inc. front kit & SVT rears)...I'm usually a few seconds behind the other cars in-class that have forced induction. The last auto-x I attended my best time was in the high-40s and the best in-class time was a mid-38, which was a Sentra Spec V with Hoosiers and coilovers.|

There's BMW CCA and SCCA, but no BMW SCCA.
The reason for the hood thing is that they have to look at it like a person willing to puch to the endge of the rules. If lightweight body panels were STS leagal, you would see moneyed, hardcore guys with one piece fiberglass or bumper to bumper carbon fiber bodies.
Don't worry at all about class. Just have fun.

|Algorhythm||No idea, I'm running in a BMW SCCA event.|
