Any parts store.
The 'boot release grease' is adequate for your purpose, silicone dielectric type you can use on connections/boots.

Just eyeball them vs. the gauge to be sure they aren't damaged in transit to close up the gap and stick 'em in.
Should be in a usable range if they sold you an appropriate plug.

Won't be all that accurate anyways, you can hold it NEAR the gap just to see if it's in the ballpark.
