The car was in remarkably good shape. I suppose you could have flipped it over and kept driving, but I'm not sure I would trust what I couldn't see.

Pop is doing very well. At this point, he isn't really thinking about getting back to the track. He's more focused on walking around the block. By-pass surgery takes a lot out of you. However, he does want to run an autocross in Cumberland, MD later this year. That's his goal once he recovers.

Thanks for asking!

EGZ -

He got 2 wheels off on the outside of 10 and came back hard on to the track surface. With his nose pointing at the wall, he locked up the brakes and slid sideways down the track until he went off again. When he went into the soft stuff, the car just came over. Rolled at about 45 MPH.

The rigidity of that car is amazing. It took the tow truck acting like a brace and 3 guys to roll it right side up.

Pretty crazy...

Egz Woah, he rolled it on the inside of 10? I was expecting some nasty carnage on the outside. Was he 180 when he hooked the two tires on the inside?

rockthezx3 Wow...that sucks.

WeeAsp Make him an offer.

However, I'm not sure that I would want it after seeing it get rolled right side up.

Aluminum doesn't bend, it crinkles.

Still, I am amazed that there wasn't more damage.
