We never did. I am not sure if the stiffy was even available back around that time.

The is correct. It would be easier to make 300fwhp with a 20 psi of boost with a gt3071R than it would be with a smaller GT28R turbo. The gt3071r has more cfm than the smaller gt28R turbo. The gt3071r turbo also spools up about 1,000 rpms+ later.

PSI is a relative term...it's more about CFM's....10 psi on a small turbo is not as much air as 10 psi on a big turbo....same applies to a supercharger....
