|Fuelish1||Mine's just shy of 148,000 miles, bought it used with about 143,00 on it....previous owner(s) had taken care of it well, mechanically....only real "problem" was it needed the usual passenger side motor mount, which was not really a problem to deal with and a great deal through the Village Ford connection here :)|

Not in a Focus, but the Escorts I have.
The 98 Escort wagon had around 181K miles or so, never dropped the valve seat, but did replaced the cylinder head after the head gasket blew as a precaution against that, then the crankshaft key broke damaging the crankshaft.
The 93 Escort 4 door hatchback (not technically a SPI engine but same base CVH as the SPI) has just under 220K miles on it got it for free with about 96K miles after the timing belt broke and he gave me the car. Never had to do anything to the engine besides plus, wires, timing belts, a water pump, and a couple coilpacks.
