azdamay ^^ What is that supposed to mean? We should blindly support any piece of crap that Ford puts the "Focus" badge on because this is a Focus forum? You can't deny that Europe and other parts of the world are getting better and better models of Focus, and we are getting reheated, lukewarm crap.

Jupiter
2008 Focus

No hatchback ,rear drum brakes only 136 hp engine .The exterior styling does'nt impress me but the interior look
good.I'll try to keep my 2002 ZX5 as long as possible and replace it with
another ZX5 when time will come.I'm really an hatchback fan.

Does Ford think all of us over the hill baby boomers and the younger set will buy that poorly styled completely unimaginative piece of metal and plastic crap???!!!???They have just lost me as a customer I have an '02 and '07 ZX5 and they will be the last Fords I own!

I wanted to buy American and I wanted a somewhat cool looking tuner type car to drive and I did not want to support the oil industry but that Focus will force me into the rice burner market!!!

At 54 years old I bet I am the oldest Focus owner here and all I can say is that car makes me want to puke.

I cannot wait to see the demographics of the NEW Focus owners...I bet Ford will never recover from the sale slump they have created for themselves the 'tards!! They did not learn from the redesign of the late '80's and early 90's Escort.

Isn't that considered insanity when you do not learn from your mistakes???? NO doubt the execs were so busy planning on how to spend their huge undeserved salaries that they blindly rubber stamped their approval on the worst design dog of the decade! Should we have expected any better from the group of corporate dummies that still build some of the largest gas guzzling SUV's and pickup's that take up space on the road??!!!
I agree mostly.. Its simple though.. Ford thinks americans want only muscle.. as their 'sporty' car the mustang .. not the focus.. They think Europe wants hatchbacks.. as in the focus st as THEIR 'sporty' car.. They dont even get to own the mustang.. Just like we dont get to own the awesome focus they get.. Japan and mexico and im not sure who else.. get both.. those bastards.. Ford needs the mustang to keep at least some market share from the resurgence of the 'muscle car-esque era' with dodge bringing back the Charger & Challenger and chevy bringing back the Camaro.. and whatever else is next.. They aren't exactly focused on the Focus.. (no pun intended) In america. In the states its just an economy car.. (except to us ) damn economics keeping us from owning awesomeness!!

I agree with Orangesvtguy!!!

It's not that much better in person lol. They had one parked at work and I snuck a peek. Interior really does look great, but the external appearance is the worst yet, except for the headlights. Those are pretty sweet looking. It does look better in person than in the pictures, but not that much lol.

It's a shame that because of this my next car won't be a Focus though. Smaller engine, probably a hideous dash if you replace the factory CD player, and the outside lost all originality. Too bad, I wanted to get 3 in a row lol. I guess i'll have to get a Fusion then, before they F that one up too.
