Wazzer 5.5 winters....They've taken their toll on every bolt, from the cat, down. I started, yesterday, with the penetrating oil and haven't even decided what header to go with, yet, hehehe! Thanks for your response!

lildisco I've yet to hear or see one of those break off, but it depends on how many winters you've been through. Just make sure everything is well lubed before you start and you're golden

Wazzer To all of you who've done this swap, did the bolts holding the header come off easily? I wouldn't mind doing this, but my biggest fear is snapping one of those suckers off....

Tbones00SE Finished my install over the weekend. I ran into a couple of problems myself. My dad and I managed to get all the old bolts out except one, that was where the cat connected to the flex. We ended up rounding the bolt, but luckily we had one of the extractor sockets. That thing is wonderful; The bolt came right out. The other problem was the o2 sensors. They would not move. They seemed to be practically welded on. I used an o2 socket and I still couldn't get it off. So, I bit the bullet and bought two new ones. The only big mistake we made was we took the radiator fans completely off to make more room to put the header and the heat sheild on. Well after we got the header on, we found out that it was almost impossible to get it back on from the bottom. We had to disconnect some radiator hoses in order to get it back in from the top. All in all it was worth it!

LOL, no thank you! I will probably just spray them down the night before.

Just spray it a few houres before you start doing anything. That should do the trick.
