razorrik yeah ive seen it a couple times,,it gets really stupid,, and all that debating and crying and moaning over lengths, or nos no nos, its a crybaby racer show..
01-09-2008 12:05 AM
Blownyel93 Asking for lengths is only fare between cars. So some people think that if you ask for lengths then its not a real race. I have a mustang and in the next lane is my svt focus, there is no way that is a heads up race!!!!!

'02 SVT Focus-Time still to come
'93 Supercharged mustang-12.47 @110mph
'87 Notchback 408ci with 100hp NOS-9.91@134/on motor and 9.32 @141 on spray

03OrangeSVT Running a modified car on a dirt track and running a multimillion dollar NASCAR on a super speedway are NOT even in the same dictionary... let alone the same page.

I still like turning my car BOTH left and right.

nascar is lame, and a great way to lose 3 hours of your life watching it.
No nerve at all as for going left is non challenging try running into a corner at 110 to 115 hitting the breaks slinging the car side ways controling it through the turn side ways and racing to the next corner on dirt with 30 other cars trying to do the same thing

I like the computer racers that say how easy it looks but have never tried to do any form of challanging racing

A 50,000.00 Porsche couldnt run with my Turbocharged SVT at VIR and passed a 30,000.00 one pulling away from him have VID to show it as well so how would it run with a well set up Nascar ?

Im not upset just voicing my opinion as allways

MightyMouse Man you should have seen the Miata race last night. Its not how it sound yes there is a few people who spun out in the first corner but all in all most of the people get out ok. The racing for the lead was crazy as hell, I've never seen so many leader changes in my life. And the great thing about it was you don't have any of this team bull crap. 2 of the 4 guys fighting for the lead were on the same team and they were racing as hard if not harder than the other guys fighting for #1.

2. all cars have the same tires. this is mainly to keep crashing and bitching to
a minimum i think

3. all the cars no matter the brand use the same engine and trans. so that
way no one whines over someone having more power

4. nascars is just dumb luck driving. you basicly drive like your on the freeway till someone takes you out by screwing up (how you can mess up on a track that has only 3 turns is beyond me.)

ih and by the way a used porsche for 60k can lap the nastard drivers at under half the cost, with the ac on and the stereo cranked, real driving, my ass.

if you wanna see fun spec racing go to a spec miata event. theres nothing like a bunch of guys in flyweight cars all trying to enter the same corner at the same time. its freakin hilarious. or run in a spec focus cup. ist the same thin but with hatches and sedans, lol.
All of this couldnt be farther from the truith

(all cars have the same aero shape)
All cars have to fit a templet but this is in no way meaning there running the same bodies , they spen 100`s of Hrs in there wind tunnels shaping the bodt to go through the wind faster and they may look the same but there not ,

(all cars have the same tires)
Granted

( all the cars no matter the brand use the same engine and trans)
This couldnt be further from the truith Ford uses Ford , Chevy uses Chevy , Dodge uses Dodge , Toy uses Toy . and they are allowed to build there own engine to what THEY think the rules say and they dont all make the same HP

(nascars is just dumb luck driving.)
If you feel that way only tells me you have never been on a track of any kind at over 150MPH let alone in a croud. I race dirt track and have been on Lowes Motor Speedway at over 180 with me driving and there is nothing dumb luck about it. It takes balls and skill to run 200+ with 25+ other drivers all around you all wanting to get to the front

This is dumb luck "theres nothing like a bunch of guys in flyweight cars all trying to enter the same corner at the same time." it takes no skill to take everyone out in the first turn of a race because they all want to be up front

Oh and your "used porsche for 60k can lap the nastard drivers " Would be lapped 2 times in a 10 lap race
