Running from a roll is pretty lame...
I didn't get my SVT for drag racing though and I also didn't shell 20k out for mine. I got my SVT for the nice interior, good brakes, decent handling, decent power, and decent millage. It was a good compromise in all areas that made it a good choice for the money.

|Auto0utcast||well... id like to see an svt that can hang with me.. by all means for 20k$ they better be able to beat a 9900$ base bones zx3... but i just havent found one yet that has... ive seen several locally and the only place they have a chance it seems is from a highway roll above 80....it sucks.|

|Auto0utcast||i win 90% of my races off reaction, which ISNT figured into the time. if someone is sleeping at the tree and i cut a .081 light like i did wednesday i got a half second on them right there that is VERY hard to make up. my SLOWEST reaction of the night was a .199.. the rest were all sub .1 reactions. not many people know what they are doing enough to be able to "tree me" i may not post the better slip but i cross that finish line first more times than not when racing similar hp/weight cars. for example... my last run of the night was against my friend in his 91 sentra se-r.. sr20det powered pushing 230hp, 217 tq to the wheels...he ran a 15.62 (pitiful reaction and bad launch/spinning immensely) to my 15.74 but i beat him to the 1/4 stripe due to a .7 advantage from reaction/launch.....see what i mean?|

Wow your ZX3 is pretty light! What did you do to reduce the weight on it?
The SVTF weighs in at around 2750lbs with a full tank of fuel and no driver. So if I was in mine it would weigh in at around 2900lbs with a full tank, and a little bit less if I was going to race someone.
Power : Weight
SVT= 17.0lbs/HP, 20lbs / Ftlbs Trq
ZX3= 22.6lbs/HP, 19.7lbs / Ftlbs Trq
With the MTX75 gearing I can picture you jumping the SVT off the line by a fair amount but the SVT should be able to pull in the long run. If you look at Half Time's slips- he was trapping 92-94MPH at the end with an ET of 15.2 seconds when he was stock and 94-95MPH with an ET of 14.9 seconds with a few mods.

Yeah maybe these 17 second ET are from people with TC not turning it off. That's the only reason why I could think of having an embarassing time like that.
Yes the Foci are inconsistent where one is faster than the other but 2 seconds difference in the 1/4 is most certainly driver error. It is well known in the SVT community that the SVTF can dig low 15 second passes right off the floor from the dealer. That's just a fact weather you want to believe it or not.
How much does your ZX3 weigh in at btw?

|Auto0utcast||haha well put. i just like seeing more foci at the strip... we get ragged on so bad in the tuner community... there was a guy with a full bolt on sentra se-r spec v there last night running 15.1's but with the worlds crappiest reactions... i swear if i lined up against him i would have beat him to the 1/4 and destroyed him to the 1/8th|
