03OrangeSVT The "average" SVT puts down around 140-150whp, there are SVT's that put down less.

The compression ratio on our motors varies between 10.2 and 10.6 Ford decided to call it 10.25 ( as a "safe" number) Thats why some engines are stronger than others.

There are so many other factors in why he ran so slow, he could have the RLAx tune instead of the newer ones, he could have the malfunctioning DSI... where the O rings become dislodged and partially block the injectors, he could have had bad gas, alot of clutch slippage or even tire spin... slow reaction time, granny shift, not running it all the way out before shifting, slow shifting.... the reasons are numerous.

so are you granny shifting then? letting completely off the gass between shifts and totally putting your foot to the floor on the clutch pedal?

The less power he has, the less he has to shift... if his rpms are climbing slower due to poor power, he should still be easily in third.

I think he is shifting too soon, in maybe more than just one gear..

the actual power of the engine varies greatly. like 10-15whp between models.

a crank dyno? If you put the car on the dyno and it had rollers, it is a standard chassis dyno. To find out true crank hp you have to do an engine dyno meaning your motor needed to be pulled.

Artood2s I've heard it makes for a better road course car than anything else.

I don't think it was DESIGNED for autocross specifically. I think SVT just wanted to do something to tap the sport compact market. The owners of the SVT Focus are the ones who make it out to be a car specifically for autocross.
