how did you launch at 2500 without bogging, I tried launching at 3500 and bogged bad my best time was 10.24 1/8 with a 2.52 reation time and speed was 70.54 mph, that was launching at 4200 and with wheel spin I couldn't hook up all night it was either bog or spin no inbetween, my best mph was 71.26mph and best 60 foot was 2.51 looking into drag radials I think I might drop into the 9s I spin most of the was through fist even after some really great looking burnouts, wasn't happy with my time but was happy with all the tire smoke

Goat Roper That STI was in a different zip code when you finished

Launch at lower RPMs, don't drop it and keep the revs up down the track.

Well, if I can drop my 60 ft. times somewhat, I just might sneak up on your 10.052!

(though dropping .419 sec. sounds easier than it is)

Maybe. Just maybe ....

Nope no wheel hop. The tires didn't spin very much. They do spin but not very much. Then spin very slightly shifting into 2nd gear as well.
So is that where we're supposed to be shifting at? I remember that the dyno charts for the 2.3 showed it to be making peak hp at like 5700-5800 rpm.

But maybe 6500 rpm shifting is the way to go (at least in 1st and 2nd gear), seeing how fast she spools up.
This is all numbers made up but say your make 90hp at 5000 rpms, 110 at 5500 rpms, 130 at 6000rpms, and 110 at 6500rpms. Now if you shift at 6000rpms and it drops 1000rpms then that would put you at 5000-6000 rpms(90-130hp) but if you shift at 6500rpms and it drops 1000rpms then it would put you at 5500-6500rpms(110-130-110).

So which would you choose 90-130(110 average) or 110-130-110(120 average)?
