rangebum QUOTE: P.S. - race him past 70 and then see who wins. Something tells me Hyundai wouldn't allow an Elantra to be capable of reaching speeds near 140.

How about rodney king. I'll bet his speeding ticket suprised the hell out of the makers of Hyundai too.

greystealth Something's not right. I have a ZX3 and and SVT and they don't compare performance wise. I will tell you one thing though, the SVTF is not a drag racing car. It's just not made for that, thats why alot of guys burn out they're clutch/flywhees on those cars cus all they do is launch them. I like taking the SVTF on the freeway. Thats where all the power really is. Maybe your elantra is a "factory freak". Hey it happens.....

Okay number of shifts but what are u planning to race a half mile? for every hundred pounds u loose how many ponies? Its impossible, either the SVT was a fake or he just plain old sucked or he just wanted to inflate the elantra's ego so he can squash it the next time

buttons I had an elantra, they are peppier then people think. A manual elantra can do a 15.9 with perfect driving. Also removing the stock airbox resonator has dynoed an extra 3-5hp.

I still think the other guy cant drive, you should trade cars and race again and see how bad you slaughter the elantra. If you dont slaughter the elantra then better that that SVT for some warranty work. Is it possible he put SVT badging/wheels on a regular focus?

smoknzx3 korean- I know you didn't come in here claiming your car is better and talking all kinds of sh!t, but your race just doesn't sound truthful. That's why your getting so much sh!t. Short of us being there watching I doubt your going to get anyone to jump on your band wagon. If it was a ZX3 then the bad driver situation would be belivable. Sorry man
