y2kpedo i was not talking about the dust cover, but its the part that holds the dust cover to the stock strut.

but any ways, i guess i can get away with what i did. and just for the record my bumpstops is white and i did install it.

thx though for the pics

WD40 And, here’s what the stockers look like.
Actually, the reason for this pic is, remember my problem earlier in the thread with horrible popping coming from the springs?
Well, I had the upper spring cup on upside down.
Just compare the upper picture to this one, and you’ll see where I screwed up, and had to pull everything apart again.
So, dwain, there’s a handy tip for ya!
Double check those upper spring cups for proper orientation!

WD40 I think you're referring to the bumpstop that fits on the strut shaft.
Mine were black...your's are blue? Bizzare.

The stock dust cover will not fit on the KYB's.

Here's what the finished assembly looked like just before installing them on the car:

y2kpedo do you see the 1st strut that is from left to right. on this pic it is white. mine is blue. now did you install that on yours with the cover?

WD40 ^^^ I'm pretty sure he was asking about the front struts.
Front struts.
Rear shocks.
Both are considered "dampers".
Which end (front or rear) were you referring to y2kpedo?

Even on my toooo wide 225's
^^^
I'm liking my 225's so much, I bought a second set.

^^^ Which other thread?

Did you install the blue part that is on the stock sct struts
^^^

its the part that is inside the cover of the strut, i think you know what it is.
^^^ Actually, no I'm not sure what you're talking about.
Sorry about that.
Yes, you have to install that grommet to get them not to be loose in the rear. (if you mean the rear dampers)

If its not installed, your struts will not seat all the way into the hole when its compressed, and you can rattle it around by hand.

I had mine professionally done at a buddies shop, to correct a noise I had in the front.

I am running 3/7 daily, weeeeeeeeee. Even on my toooo wide 225's, it rides really smooth.

dwain Thanks for the review. Ordered some last week, and now I can't wait to get them. (I am also putting on some Hawk hps pads). This is going to be a good week!!

Any tips/secrets when I am putting the KYB's on?
