|KyleTroxtell||Anybody tried one of the Xtune CP-450BLK Black Cold Air Intake System with Filter for Ford Focus 2.0L Zetec??? I'm thinking about buying one. Less than $50. The filter looks like crap but a K&N should fit on there just fine.|

Short RAM = / ≠ better MPG
I am considering installing a K&N Short RAM on my 2007 Ford Focus SE ZX4, and eventually upgrading the exhaust.
Do you think I would see any MPG gains on top of the horsepower gains. I drive interstate 78, about 115 miles round trip to work and back each day.
Any advice on exhaust and what I should look to spend would be an added bonus.

my car had an mac short ram when i bought it. and a magnaflow cat back
700 buck worth of mods i didn't have to buy that will be eventually ripped off and replaced with more expensive stuff lol

|5drsvt-infrared-04||OK, so in response to me not driving in puddles, I live in Minnesota. So I pretty much drive in small lakes, not puddles. I decided on the K & N (typhoon) setup, because it is interchangeable between CAI and Short ram. Now, I have another newb question for you, what is ORP? And where can I go to get that Xcal tune?|

Only if you drive in ponds, Dont worry about Hydrolock. Also the bypass valve pretty much robs half the power you free up by having the CAI.
So far the AEM CAI is in my top three mods so far(lol)
1. Xcal Tune
3. AEM CAI
Its well worth it so far, just got it yesterday and loving it so far.

|5drsvt-infrared-04||Thanks SVT-Sage! Now the other question I have is, is the AEM cai a good product? That is what I am leaning toward, but do I have to worry about water with that setup?|

|SVT-SAGE||Yes you have to buy an intake specifacally for the SVT because of the location of the TB. It is towards the drivers side in an angle, and Zetec's have it in the center of the Intake Mani.|

|S2||No, the TB size on the SPI's is different and the SVT engine has the TB in a completely different place. Same goes for the Duratec and PZEV... there all different.|
