Seb656 crap i forgot you don't have an SVT you don't have a dual massflywheel So i don't know if it is as neccesary to replace it

IHateRice Yeah I have been looking at the flywheels. Any reccomendations on those as well? I'll talk to the guys I know about installing a turbo, I might end up going with the Vortech just for safety and reliability reasons. I would also be putting lots of miles on the car in the near future for a routine highway commute.

Seb656 yup a turbo is more complicated and could have more problems with tunning but it has advantages 2

The quaife differential makes a big difference on the SVT and Im sure it will make a good difference on the ZX3 also I think I would put a new flywheel in the dual mass has alot of problems I dunno though you might wanna research the quaife and a new flywheel before doing something like that

IHateRice Installation of a turbo concerns me, I know two guys very well who install superchargers but I'm not sure if installing a turbo would be that much different. They'd install a supercharger for free but I don't know how well they would do with a turbo. A turbo system seems much more complicated but I do see the advantages now.

Seb656 Its really your choice weather super or turbo I like the vortech alot and wouldn't mind having one also I like Tom's turbo its a personal thing I would probably also get a quaife atb differential if i had the money

3inasvt i recommend going turbo...superchargers may be more reliable but you can get more out of the turbo. remember superchargers take power to make power

IHateRice So Tom's turbo kit is the best choice for turbos and the Vortech supercharger is the best choice for supercharging? All i have now is a Steeda short throw, should I just jump right in and go for whatever kit I'm going to get without any other mods? Thanks for all the advice, my car would meet the same fate it met with the previous owner if it wasn't for this site.

Seb656 No!! Avoid the gude kit and the precision kit if your gonna get a turbo spend the extra money get Tom's (the other kits are well known for blowing your engine due to improper tunning)

IHateRice Now I've pretty much decided to get the Vortech kit with the aftercooler if I go with a supercharger, and there was a turbo kit I was looking at as well on the same site. Here are the links:

I have not looked into the turbo kits enough yet. Any advice is always welcome. Also, if I bought a Volant intake I would not need it after a supercharger or turbo correct? I might just jump straight into saving for the forced induction before any other mods except possibly exhaust and minor appearance things because after that it seems everything should be built around it. Is it a good idea to mess with the engine internals before or after forced induction?

Seb656 A turbo might be less reliable then a supercharger but it would definatly be worth it even if u did have the occasional problem
