Scott_SVT Yes, I'm spraying..

In regards to the 2-day ownership replies, yes, I realize he is inexperienced with the car. I'm just saying......

This is a friggin TURBO 'high teck, whoop-de-doo German Engineered, Hey look at me, I can quick shift my super trans right here on the steering wheel' car!

My 13 years old daughter should be able to run it down the track well into the 14's. Heck, her Playstation2 has steering wheel controls, too!

I've run basically stock older GTI's (03-04) that have done WAY better than this, and not just because the driver is experienced, heck, I ran one 04 GTI owner 4 times in one night, his times were all over the place, but they were all under 14.99..

zetecfreak nice kill. I was thinking about buying one of those cars until now. I know they have potential, but even with DSG and first time at the track I would expect at least high 14s.

svtfocus17 my friend jsut got one...too luxurious for me but i guess preety decent car with much potential..stock they disappoint me a bit and i agree with Talon the old ones are better!!

MyBlackST No one here has brought up the fact that the guy had the car for TWO days. It's probably his 1st time with it on the track too. How many of us have ran out best times to the cars fullest ability the 1st time at the track? Conrats on beating him though.

SilverZXIII Nice times by you.

The Gti ran the same 1/8 mile and trap as me 9.9 @ 73mph. And my 1/4 mile trap was the same 90-91mph.

my mods: 00 zx3 with bolt-ons and a sct tune.

fokuzx3 ^ thats what im thinkin..from the looks of the time doesnt look like his turbo fully kicked in till 1000', and by his trap speed it looks like he has alot of top end cuz he beat me by 3mph but i still have a better quarter than him..nice cars, but as many have already stated, boxed ones were better, slower, but better, if he woulda power braked it or gone into neutral and then slam it into drive off the line that woulda helped the turbo spool up a bit, but not good for the car

SVT Robzor Other thing I noticed right off is a 2.4x 60' time. If he had the DSG, I think he's feeling the lack of launch control, cause thats terrible even by SVT standards. Using the rule of thumb, thats a high 14's run with even a decent launch, which is alright, given the high weight.
