^^^ABSOLUTELY NOT All it would do is kill your momentum and suddenly make the car much harder to control. Even if you did it perfectly, it wouldn't be nearly as fast as just driving the right line.
Learn to use the steering, speed, and foot brake to get rotation. Trust me, those tools will give you all the rotation you will ever need and more.

My son is taking a video production class and so we bought him this card for Christmas:
KWORLD VS-L883D Xpert
It had lots of good user reviews at various web sites and it worked well enough for him to get an A on is first project. The software that comes with it is JUST for copying your tapes to DVD, but he used Windows Movie Maker to do his editing, voice-overs, etc.
The good news is it is currently on sale at Newegg.com for $8.99 after $15.00 Mail-In Rebate!
You can also get USB based devices but I was concerned about them having enough bandwidth (through-put) to avoid drop-outs, etc.
Hey, I just checked and the rebate form at Newegg is generic, so you can still get the rebate if you can find the card locally at Frys, Comp-USSR, etc.

ok, I want to take a video of my runs I do Friday nights on the st between here and Irving on my way to drills.
But I have an analog camera, Sony ccd-trv138. I found out I guess I need an ecternal capture device for the a/v line. I can go buy one at fry's or something. Is that all I need? And a video package of course.
Are there any you experts recommend I get online, for free......I have limewire, :)

That was one hell of a long run. Nice job! Personally, I'm surprised that camera mount is as stable as it is. Especially with the acceleration and decelration that goes on at an AutoX event.
Awesome good old fashioned know how. I'm going to try it as well.
