ztecpower yea, it could have been minor and not reported, or maybe the previous owner backed into something and fixed it himself (no report) but check for frame still, if it has it then you can make them buy it back, (and then you can get an 05 ST !)
but have areputable shop check it out....
If you were in my area I'd have my tech check it out for you.
call the DMV and ask them if the vehicle has been in any accidents.... they will have beter records and more current records than carfax........

MaximusZTS Wow! thanks for all of your help ztecpower. So if there are no reports of anything to CARFAX, could that mean the damage it sustained was so minor it was not worth reporting, you think?

SVT4ME So basically it looks like it was probably in an accident that was not reported for one reason or another. That's the problem with Carfax, it only tells you if there was an accident if it was reported and is on record.

OT: One time not too long ago while cleaning out under the carpet in the hatch area of my old Escort GT (now my mom's car) which I bought used from a charity organization, I found a little bit of broken glass and two hollow-point 9mm bullets... not sure I WANT to know the story behind that.
