geneticjim I had the stock muffler put back on. My 2 year old plugged his ears when riding in my car. It wasn't that loud just the interior noise was a bit much.

Lost216 Do you want it to be quieter? If you want it to sound good but a bit loud keep the flowmaster and ditch the resonator and muffler that are upstream from it.

geneticjim I think I'm going to pull off the flowmaster and put the stock muffler on...

Anyone have the stock muffler and pulled off the rear resonator?

geneticjim I pulled up the floor in my hatch today. The only thing under the floor board is Styrofoam and the spare then metal. I think I'm gonna lay some insulation down.

Sounds good on the inside, definitely loud though.

SlickWilly There is a "straight" piped MK3. Its black and on YouTube . Sounds good at idle but not so great beyond that.

Seminoles Some one removed the first resonator and sounded like the lunch box delete with stock rear muffler might try removing the second one that is after the bind looks like a glass pack that might give you the loudness and tone your looking for. Basically its like you put a glass pack in place of the regular muffler like they us to do years ago you will have that over resonated sound because the 2 inch pipe keeps exhaust velocity high and sound wave moving fast but try the second one first it might turn out to be what you want if not you could put it back or go 2.25 or 2.5 back to muffler. Good luck keep us updated.

Seminoles An 80 would be a lot bigger too. The single in dual out on same side is what they use to do dual exhaust on pick-ups also the 88 Camaro had dual tips on passenger side like this one might be a 50 or 40 they used a 40 on my Ram. Sounds good though.
