amc49 There are so many other things they could change it's not funny. Does later shifter sit higher in car as relative to trans? How about further forward or back? How does it mount to sheetmetal? The cable attachment parts could change. Length of shifter coming out bottom could change. On and on..............they could bolt right in or not, you're gonna be our guinea pig one knows all the things that can swap from earlier to later years, and ATX shifters hardly ever get swapped, since they rarely break.

The bezel and shifter surround would be the obvious differences, now as far as the electronics matching up I'm not even sure about that.

shifter prblems

so my shifter broke in my 2007 se 2.0 so i wanna know if i bought a shifter assembly for a 2000 to 2005 would it still work in my auto 2007???
