mac.mogul Look at your haynes manuals. If you don't have a haynes manual, get one and look at it. The thermostat is covered in detail.

Joemoseley Well, Your car either has a housing with a sensor, or a housing with no sensor. It's a bit hard to see if yours has a sensor installed or not, but you can see with a mirror and a flashlight.

Miller88 Can I buy the housing without sensor and swap it in, or do I have to check and then go from there?

Joemoseley Yea you can't service just the thermostat you have to change the whole housing as an assembly. You either have a housing without a sensor or a housing with a sensor. Without the sensor it is 65$ with the sensor it is 260$ it comes with a seal for the housing and everything already installed.

Miller88 How much did it cost? I was looking at replacing the thermostat on mine ... but it seems that the thermostat is like $150 and is part of the housing?

cmmike1 Easy if you have the proper tools. Time consuming if you dont.
