|yakimushi||One of the best mid-sized cars I've seen in a looooong time. Nice features too!|

Looks great. Definitely better looking than the current model. Get rid of the automatic transmission though, it has no business in a RWD sports car.
Since purchasing my SVT a year ago I've actually moved into a whole other income bracket, meaning I'm making a good deal more money now. I think in another couple of years, say maybe three when I'm no longer upside down on the SVT my next car will be RWD and Japanese. I have already deteremined those two things as a requirement. This Lexus IS seems like it will fit the bill nicely. I'm hoping Lexus does the smart thing and also makes a four door hatchback/coupe body style too. After owning such a practical car like my SVT ZX5 it would be tough to go back to a sedan body style.

Hotfocus, you like this car much by any chance?? That's the longest post I've seen in awhile.
You can definitely see the corporate "look" that they're going for in this car - I think it looks good, but I'm still doing my best to avoid getting excited about four door sedans YET. I think I need to be at least a decade older before I give in to the luxury sedan.
Like Autoweek said, Lexus is attempting to pull off a BMW-like transformation of their product line with all new styling (and pretty radical styling compared to their old designs) and so far they're doing it better than BMW, this car does not have awkward details like some of the new BMW designs have.
The new IS certainly makes the old IS look blah by comparison, which is pretty impressive when you think about it - I remember when the IS first came out, a guy at my college bought one and the first time he parked it at school a crowd of guys gathered around it to check it out.

|oneill8769||it's nice, but it doesn't do much for me either.|

|PapoSwing||I like what they have done to the new GS, it looks a lot more agressive. But this new IS is really not doing it for me. The rear is bland and the front has some line I don't like.|

|_RED_||I dont like it,It looks like there trying to turn the "IS" into the "GS" or "TL"|
