Good to know! I read up prior to buying mine too, about over-tightening it and mine still went.. Make sure you are also keeping an eye on your filter to make sure it doesn't fall off. You're car will run like crap and the light may come on.

I hope you used a flat head, rather than a ratchet to tighten your clamps.

The intake itself is pretty sweet though, I must say.

Seminoles There are some cheap modes to make it better like said before center the MAF or even get an aluminum housing, take headlight out (very easy) shut hood check that is is sealed to hood, put extra foam between it and battery box (Home Depot window A/C strips), and a newmission mod helps on heat soak HERE not sure if they have you take the snorkel off but another good option HERE.

After all it draws air though the headlight and around trans also though opening in radiator support which could be hot air setting at light.

falcon9du5w0 I've had mine on for a month now with my exhaust it does sound like a boxer engine out of a Subaru, I like it just make sure when you put it on you don't over tighten the screw for the filter.

Sonic_HedgeHog After 20k or so with it on... I still give it

To the OP... Search is your friend. Do some reading before posting and you won't come across as such a noob ;)

CastleBravo1 Installing it wasn't a huge pain. Having a second person there to help is nice though.

The intake adds a throatier tone and is somewhat loud. It seems, to me at least, there is a small performance improvement.
