astew151 My cousin was able to find the adapter i wanted, FRD04-POD, online for $65 so i decided that would be my cheapest option, plus i wanted to keep the factory radio installed. So i hooked up the whole thing and everything worked except it would not play through my speakers. I was able to see the song and artist on the radio and control it through the radio. I would upload pictures but it seems i can only upload via a web address and not from saved images. I think i know what the problem is. On the factory radio in the back there is a port for the 32 pin cable and the 16 pin cable. When i took the radio out i noticed that there was no 16pin cable in the radio and my car didnt have a wire for it, there was onyl the 32 pin cable. When i was reading the insturctions to put in the adapter it seems as if the 16 pin cable was optional. However when i unplugged the 16 pin cable from the back of the radio i lost the functionality of the Ipod so it looks like i need it. Has anyone lese run into this and if so how do i fix it? Thanks guys.

quacking05focus I also have the same car/audio setup as you (OP) so that should work for you just fine. Just checked ebay and there's a bunch for 112.00 with free shipping.

quacking05focus I bought the usaspec adapter (pa15-ford1) from ebay for 100 dollars shipped brand new. I considered an aftermarket radio but didn't want to lose my steering wheel controls or have to add another adapter to retain them...just easier to do the usaspec route.

distroy3d More options too. USB, SD card, pandora, cd, radio, Bluetooth, satellite radio... Just find one that suits your needs. Besides if you decide you want to upgrade to a sub later you have a good deck for it now.

astew151 I appreciate the help everyone. I think im just going to get a new radio. I heard that it makes the sound quality better anyway and after doing some shopping around they arent that much more expensive that the adapters if you do it yourself.

_fifth_ I have the single cd player, but no controls on the wheel. I have the standard S model so my car is just everything basic that they needed to have the car actually work hahah

This is the one I have, although when I got it I really don't think it was that expensive to be honest.

I looked up the specs on it and it says it fits all 2006-2007 focuses along with some other model cars so I would assume that the stock radios from the 1.5 gen are the same regardless of the 6 CD changer or controls on the wheel.

Wooley _fifth_
What stock radio do you have? Do all stock radios have the function to plug into the back? I have the single CD/MP3 radio with steering wheel control 07 ZX3

_fifth_ I have one that plug into the back of a stock radio and I went that route because it charges the ipod as well as plays music, plus I kinda dig the stock radio look (but I'm in the minority there). You can also control the music through the radio instead of scrolling through all the music on your ipod, so that's way cooler to me.
Mine didn't disable the cd player, but it stopped working about a year after I put the adapter in. I don't think it was the adapters fault at all.
