schrodingersbox Got the hose on order. Glad to hear it worked out well for you Hugh. And PS still loving the motor mount!!!!!!

Hugh587 I modified the air box on my FSWERKS CAI to accept the new mission hose . It's been on for two years, No problem! Winter and summer, no moisture issues, and the air temp is usually about 10 degrees above ambient . I have a small thermometer mounted close to the foam filter.

If it's more air you want, it probably won't hurt. I'm waiting on a price for the AEM true-cold-air and when it arrives I'll be doing something similar to this mod although it won't have to point up so much.

For now though I have the Steeda which only uses one of the two air inlets, so I fashioned a hose to make use of the second one. Thinking about the newmission mod I've considered cutting a hole out of the Steeda box to give this a go. Decisions decisions.

AzraelGrin I now realize that. Haha. XD

schrodingersbox TBH I was sort of joking, but not. I mean the premise is that it could work but you wouldn't be happy driving in a downpour with water flowing directly onto your filter. Unless it's a fair weather only car I suggest not taking my previous suggestion haha

AzraelGrin Well, that would be interesting. I'll look into RS vents. :)

schrodingersbox No specific scoops. You could also get the RS vents and put one on backwards lol

AzraelGrin Do they not make hoods with scoops that functional for the Mk3? Seems like that would make some cold air in the bay really quick or have I played too many racing games? (New to Focus ownership)

I got the exact same sound and all I had to do was switch to the K&N air filter. lol Took me 2 minutes to do the swap.
