|pablo94sc||So fore/aft tube position, angle of attack, etc are unchanged? I didn't see an A/F plot with the dyno tests the guy did on the other forum, so that makes me question if the MAF voltage isn't getting skewed and causing a lean or rich condition along the curve. I've been doing this crap too long to trust manufacturers to not just slap something together to get product to market.|

|pablo94sc||Question - Do these intakes relocate the MAF placement on the inlet tubing vs factory. If so, how is the intake sample voltage compared to stock? Experience shows me that moving the MAF or changing the configuration of the inlet pipe fore/aft of the sensor can cause all sorts of odd issues. The factory programs these out, but aftermarket may not concern themselves with sampling values. Are you sure that the increase in horsepower isn't from a lean condition caused by the MAF misampling the intake charge?|

I'm gonna clean my filter tonight. It's been on there about 20k miles and could use it. The only question I have is how long does it take for the oil to dry/cure before I can use?
The one year mark seems like an accurate estimate for cleaning if tire using the car regularly. However, in your case with only 7k miles within a year I highly doubt the filter needs it. Your climate area really plays a factor with the filter though. I spent some time out in Texas with lots of dust and landscaping companies kicking up grass and debris, same here in Florida. I'm averaging about 15-17k miles a year. The car sits outside too :-(

The filters all come pre-oiled.
I would recommend to clean and re-oil it every year. More often if driven in dusty areas or raced.
