I finally found the squeak (by accident at that). It was actually coming from the hinge on the center console lid. I lubed it with some silicone grease and my "b pillar squeak" has disappeared.
Relieved I found the source!

|jiraines||So, the weather warmed up to over 50 degrees a few days ago and the squeak is back. Adjusting the height of the seat belt anchor did not fix it. I will be spending some time Saturday looking for the squeak, again.|

|mac.mogul||My 11 Focus is super quiet compared to my 03 Mustang so I can't complain too much, but it does get annoying since I don't have engine noise to drown everything out in the Focus like I did with the Mustang lol|

I get the rattling in the dash as well. I cannot tell if it is coming from the the engine bay, instrument cluster or center stack. Probably coming from all of them. I really like my car but sometimes I'm very annoyed with the noises and the squeaks. I know its not a luxury car by any means but I feel that whether I paid $50K or $19K, the car should remain solid and noise free throughout its life.
My focus really has more rattles and squeaks than my 2000 Ford Escort ZX2 had when I traded it.

|Red Jay 918||i took mine in for rattling. mine was rattling around the a-pillar i think. if i push on the dash it goes away and comes back when i let off. they fixed it but it comes back when its really cold... not as loud though.|

|jiraines||Great idea. That would be really useful - squeaks and rattles ruin the driving experience for me. I cannot ignore a noise that shouldn't be there!|

|mac.mogul||One thing I plan to do this spring is to take off some interior plastics and put silicone on the tabs and snap-on points. I've been looking at some other ways to reduce interior rattling noises as well. Solutions should be simple and I plan to make them as subtle as possible to keep OE appearance. I'll probably have a thread.|

Thanks... I'll give that a try. Each time I have a passenger and it happens I try to point out the noise to get their assistance in tracking it down but they never seem to hear it.
I adjusted the seatbelt holder, now just have to wait for the weather to break.

|A7xschecter6661||My dad said he heard something when I drove him somewhere. I think he said it was the seatbelt holder at the top. Try adjusting it to a different position, higher or lower and see if that gets rid of it|
