JeremiahD I have a 2013 SE w/ ambient lighting.
it needs to be dark out. The same sensor that tells the auto-headlights to come on when dark, also prevents the ambient lighting from turning on till dark.
Doesn't turn on during the day.

dbsimms63 Here it is right in the fine print why the MFT system is having so many issues and why they keep deleting stuff to increase functionality.

Once Ford identified the need for a new overall interface for its global vehicle lines, additional technical teams were brought in early
in the process to help add expertise. While Ford engineered the overall design, architecture and hardware/software requirements,
a number of companies played key roles in making SYNC and MyFord a world-class driver connect technology.
Core CPU: ARM Cortex A8 @ 600 mHz
2D/3D graphics controller
512MB RAM
2GB NAND flash memory
My $50 Pandigital Super Nova 8" tablet has better specs than this! No wonder only 2GB of NAND flash, WTF were they thinking!

Yes you are right, I never bothered to check mine for the feature since I do not even mess with it. I initially thought that MFT was uniform across all models seems that's not the case.

It's listed as 3D Carousel in this PDF where I first saw it.

I have found information on MFT to be confusing, too many versions and etc. but reading the fine print I saw this "* In select vehicles, available ambient lighting cannot be controlled using the eight-inch color touch screen."

This video shows how it works, not sure which models it comes on?

I also seen that there was a little illuminated strip of light where the cup holders are but couldn't see anything anywhere else however it was during the day...
Hi kkaspr,

The 2012 Order Guide lists 7-color ambient lighting as standard in the Titanium. Let us know what you think of your new ride once you bring it home!

No. This is not possible in the Fofo, 2013 or otherwise.
