Milton Sweet!! Glad it worked. Since you replaced all three you should have another 80k plus before you repeat it. It's one of those repairs that makes a dramatic difference.

poneypower seems the bottom mount was the problem all along. you can't even tell the car is running now.

interesting....I will have to give that a try. I had just gotten the bottom mount swapped last night and then the gas tank straps broke off so I am getting that fixed tonight and I'll see if the problem persists. If so I'll give the above a try.

poneypower changed out the tranny mount and the passenger side motor mount. my compressor died and I couldn't get enough leverage to do the bottom mount. going to get it on a lift this week and change it out. Shutter is still there at low RPM and idle.

Yeah this wagon has the SPI. Too bad it wasn't the Zetec, then I wouldn't have had to spent the money on a head replacement last year. At least I don't have to worry about the valve seat problem now.

poneypower ok I got the correct part numbers for the SPI

5S4Z6068BC
YS4Z6038FA
1S4Z7M121NA

poneypower I was in the process of ordering the parts when I noticed a couple things. Here are the part numbers I have:

1S4Z-7M121-PA - driver side
YS4Z-6038-BA - passenger side
YS4Z-6068-MA - lower

Can anyone tell me if these are right? They are telling me that the lower is only for a manual transmission, I have the auto and that the passenger side is only for the Zetec. Are these interchangeable between models?
