A-to-the-J I see. I don't think changing the seat before service would be much of a problem for me. I already change the intake back to stock when I take it in.

Has anyone tried the Planted brackets?

reamkeeper I don't know for sure but I'd imagine if you put seats into a focus and anything happened with the airbag system (crash and airbags fail to deploy, airbag light on) you'd be out of luck. If you have racing seats in a car you bring in for service they may also say that an issue was caused by you racing your car or abusing it causing the issue. Even with the Moss act they will look for any reason to deny a claim.

A-to-the-J Didn't wanna necropost, but figured its the right thread...has anyone tried planted technology's seat bracket and how would this affect warranty?

Twenty I know with other makes, owners will often add in resistors though I don't know specifics for that.

mildc3 i saw planted's for $140. i have no problem with that. how do you "dissable" the side airbag?
03-05-2013 09:39 PM
Twenty It has been done, but not in a privately-owned car yet to my knowledge. A few Mk3s have had it done.

I even tried to get testers for companies to use for brackets.
