RonMaiden I've never had a problem with engine paint used on calipers.

ad1das I mean, the hottest these brakes will ever get, will be in stop and go traffic during the summer. I do hard brake, dont we all, but its not on a race track. I would never paint brakes that i would use on a race track. I wouldnt have a 1 piston caliper stopping my car on a racetrack either lol. All of my daily drivers have had similar paint, and not once has any of it bubbled or peeled. It got dirty, cleaned it with brakekleen, and moved on. Also, if you put enough coats on, it will hold fine. Lastly, prep is everything. I cleaned them well, scuffed them up a bit, and cleaned them again :) This ensures a proper bond.

Seminoles I like it just others say it blisters but they could be driving like a race car. Same paint I want to do my candy blue MK3 in.

I dont understand your long drawn out ramble about stop signs and what not.

Next, if you know anything about paint, its all the same. That is engine enamel, that is made to handle in excess of 500 degrees of heat. It will not have any problems on the calipers on a focus. I have been doing this for a VERY long time, and is not my first car which i have painted.

So please enlighten me as to why you are even posting? You either like it, or you dont. If you like it, say so, if not, move along.

Thanks

ad1das Small update. I got bored, and frankly tired of looking at the ugly calipers. I decided to paint them Dark Ford Blue, to match the center caps and the ford logo's on the car.

Enjoy
